WIP 1 [link]
Well, this is what I'm experimenting with at the moment - a realistic digital painting, well realistic enough for me.
So far, I've spent about 5 hours on it. Okay well I've done the first level of shading for the good Nergal and I'm starting on evil Nergal as you can see.
I changed the background slightly, hopefully it looks more realistic ^_^ thanks Qieru for the suggestion of skewing the walls ^_^
The lineart on this is hidden, so you guys can get more of a feel for what it will look like.
I do mot own Nergal as a character, he is from Fire Emblem 7 on GBA, but I do own this art ^_^

I love the detail, like the Nergal's shadow....(how'd you do that btw?) Good shading, like how evil Nergal is slightly transparent.

Select the Magic Wand Tool and tick the contiguous box
Then select everywhere which is not the character
Inverse the selected area (Ctrl+I)
Make a new layer and fill selected area with paint
Go to edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal
Then go to Edit>Transform> Skew
After you get the desired effect by skewing click on the pencil tool (When box comes up, select apply transformation)
Fix up areas that don't match up properly, ie hands/feet or bits that dont look right.
